For many years, Silhouette Cruises has offered sailing cruises around the Seychelles archipelago. The Sailing Yacht Sea Star is a lovely custom built, 3-masted schooner with 5 modern Bermuda sails. Her sister, Sea Bird, is a sleek 2-masted sailing yacht with 4 modern Bermuda sails. Fitted with modern comforts and the most up-to-date navigational equipment, Sea Star and Sea Bird can easily negotiate the inner islands of the Seychelles.

Both Sea Star and Sea Bird comprise 9 cabins with en-suite showers and w/c, salon and dining area. On deck, there are spacious areas for sunbathing, relaxing and dining. For the more energetic and a unique Seychelles cruise experience, the yachts have canoes, snorkelling equipment, paddle board and fishing equipment. The ships provide easy access to the water from their back swimming platforms. Both ships are PADI rated dive centres and carry dive tanks and equipment as well as a dive compressor.

Sailing vesselSea Pearl is a historic, traditionally-rigged schooner. With simpler facilities than Sea Star and Sea Bird, this boat has just 8 air-conditioned cabins with a wash basin. She operates the itinerary below on selected dates between November and April and also shorter 6 day cruises from Praslin between May and October.

Friday
Depart on flight from London.

Saturday
Arrive Mahé, the main island in Seychelles, and transfer to inter-island quay at Port Victoria. After a welcome and briefing by the Captain, depart for Round Island off Praslin, Seychelles seond largest island. Evening welcome barbecue.

Sunday
Morning free for snorkelling & diving. Afternoon sail to Bay Ste Anne Jetty, Praslin. Guests may disembark to visit Vallée De Mai Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Monday
Early morning departure toward La Digue island. After lunch, visit the island, home to the Seychelles Paradise Flycatcher bird and beaches reputed to be some of the most beautiful in the world. Explore La Digue at leisure by bicycle (or possibly oxcart!)

Tuesday
A short sail during breakfast along the coast of La Digue to Grand Soeur and Petite Soeur for a visit to these unique uninhabited tropical islands - excellent for snorkelling and diving. Afternoon sail to Coco Island, one of Seychelles' little jewels.

Wednesday
Sail to Booby Island for diving and water sports in the morning. After lunch, sail to Aride Island for an afternoon of exploration of the nature reserve.

Thursday
Sail to Curieuse Island for a visit through the mangrove forests and the giant tortoise conservation project. The afternoon is for your leisure activities... or simply relaxing on deck!

Friday
After breakfast sail towards Mahé, stopping en-route at Ile Seche for the last opportunity to snorkel or dive and a farewell barbecue. Arrive Mahé jetty. Overnight on board.

Saturday
Morning disembarkation and transfer to the Kempinski Seychelles (or similar) where a day room has been reserved until your late evening transfer to the airport. Depart on flight back to London.
