AVANI Barbarons Seychelles is located on the quieter west coast of the main island of Mahé. It is set amidst tropical gardens, beside its own palm-fringed bay with 600 metres of pure white sands and sheltered by a crystal blue lagoon.

The resort consists of 124 rooms and suites, all with large glass doors that let in the natural light and opening onto a terrace or balcony with either garden or ocean views. All are decorated in the AVANI modern, chic and minimal style and feature satellite TV. Elements offers casual 'home-style' cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while Tamarind is set right beside the beach and offers pan-Asian fusion cuisine and fine dining options. Gravity offers poolside services including snacks. Evening options include cultural entertainment including seafood specialities.

A 25 metre swimming pool and children's pool provides an alternative to bathing from the beach and the water sports on offer there. One tennis court and a gym provide land-based activities for the more energetic, while the AVANI Spa offers a tempting variety of massages, scrubs, treatments and facials; a double treatment room has its own sundeck.

The beach immediately in front of AVANI Barbarons Seychelles Resort & Spa is protected by an offshore reef; swimming and snorkelling are therefore possible from the beach, although extra care is needed during the more windy months between June and September when the sea can be a little more choppy. Within a few minutes walk from the hotel are a local restaurant, shop and an art & craft shop. The resort is also conveniently located for exploring the south & west coasts of Mahé Island, including the Jardin Du Roi spice gardens.
