General Wedding Information

Idyllic days in the tropical sun, velvet nights under starry skies... the Seychellois people beckon discerning travellers to their shores. As well as taking advantage of all the latest wedding packages and honeymoon deals, our Seychelles wedding team will help you make your Seychelles wedding dream come true. Here are just some considerations for you to consider.

Documents required for Civil Marriage

Couples getting married in Seychelles will need their current, valid passport and their birth Certificates. If either have been divorced or widowed, a change of name by deed poll or death certificate, whichever is relevant, must be provided for proof. The sales team at Just Seychelles can provide expert advice.

We would recommend that these documents are submitted to us at least 6 weeks prior to departure in order that arrangements can be made. Clients getting married MUST travel with the originals. Ceremonies are conducted by the Registrar in accordance with Seychelles Law. The date selected is of course, subject to the Registrar's availability and the ceremony can be arranged Monday - Friday, excluding Public Holidays. We would recommend that clients are resident at the hotel at least 3 days prior in to the ceremony in order to finalise arrangements and ensure that your wedding in Seychelles goes smoothly.

A briefing will be arranged at the hotel with the wedding coordinator. Options will be discussed for your big day and advice, where necessary given. A number of ceremonies and dedicated wedding packages are available at some hotels so please do not hesitate to enquire. Remember that it is hot in the Seychelles so you may wish to choose something light to wear for your big day. The local flower, Frangipani is generally used for the Wedding Day however, should you require any other type of flower please request these in advance as such items may have to be imported. If guests are planning to bring confetti, please be sure that it is totally biodegradable as the Seychelles are protected islands. Our team will help make your Seychelles wedding special.
