Just ten minutes by boat of the coast of Mahe lies an unspoiled jewel, Cerf Island. Situated in the middle of the Sainte Anne Marine Park and surrounded by coral reef, the small island is ideal for divers and those looking for a tranquil stay, surrounded by nature. The island has no roads or shops and has plenty of beautiful beaches to explore.

Situated in the Sainte Anne Marine National Park, Cerf Island measures just 1.5km long (about a mile) and lies just 3km east of the main island of Mahé Island. Cerf Island Resort is the largest hotel on the island and is just a 10 minute boat ride from the main island of Mahé.

Nestled into the tropical hillside, Cerf Island Resort is a cluster of 24 lovely, intimate private villas, each built to convey a harmonious balance between modern day comforts and the natural tropical surroundings. Fantastic sunsets are assured from the resort's beach and pool areas.

Public areas include two restaurants offering a choice of international and traditional Creole cuisine, both using fresh seafood and locally grown natural produce. (Please note: each restaurant is not open at the same time). Breakfast is à la carte; there's a choice of light meals and à la carte lunch; while the evening menu is Table d'hôte. A Creole evening is held once a week and includes live local entertainment. The hotel also arranges in-villa dining as well as 'picnic backpacks', ideal for beach picnics.

The resort features two swimming pools and a bar, while its hilltop spa offers single and couple's treatment rooms and a varied choice of therapies and beauty treatments. A number of guest activities are available including snorkeling, diving, kayaks, nature trails, picnics and barbecues.

For snorkeling enthusiasts, Cerf Island offers exceptional marine life with more than 100 species of reef fish, crabs, sea urchins, starfish and octopus. A new 400 metre snorkel trail has been set up in waters no more than 4 metres deep, letting you discover this stunning sealife; guests are given an information card, advising what to look out for! A kayak trail is also offered, allowing you to moor up at the various stations along the route.
