Visiting the Islands

Your holiday to Seychelles brings up an immediate question – which island to visit? The ideal solution to this delicious dilemma is to visit more islands during your trip – something that the reservations team at Just Seychelles are experts at helping you do.

Whether you fancy sailing around Seychelles from the comfort of a luxury catamaran or custom built sailing yacht or island-hopping by air, options range from simple 2-island combinations or multi-island itineraries. The choices are almost limitless, but we will gladly offer our advice and expert knowledge of the Seychelles to put together an itinerary that matches your tastes and budget.

Island Cruising

We can put together a cruise itinerary that offers the best of Seychelles. Cruise holidays typically include a stay in the hotel of your choice plus onboard accommodation on a luxury yacht that can take you to islands that do not offer hotel accommodation. Your cruise itinerary might, for example, consist of four nights on a luxury catamaran sailing around the islands close to Mahé, stopping off at Anse Lazio, voted one of the world's most stunning beaches, then visiting the beautiful conservation island of Cousine, before dropping anchor at Coco Island for excellent snorkelling. This way, your holiday combines a resort experience and the unique tranquillity of overnight stays onboard the yacht.

Or, if sailing is your idea of the ultimate holiday, consider 7 nights sailing on a modern 3-masted schooner around either the inner granitic islands or setting off to the coral atolls around Aldabra in the Southern Islands.

Island Hopping by Air

If sailing is a bit laid-back for you, the quickest way to get to more Seychelles islands is to travel by air, experiencing memorable aerial views along the way. Using air travel, it is possible to holiday on two islands in a week, giving you an impressive range of Seychelles experiences.

Important Island-Hopping Information:

If you are planning an island hopping holiday, please bear in mind that all inter-island flights operate from Mahé, which means that flying from Praslin to Bird, for example, you must make a connection through Mahé. Praslin, Bird and Denis Islands are served daily from Mahé. La Digue is accessible through daily ferry service from Praslin, while Cerf and Sainte Anne Islands are reached via ferry from Mahé. The islands of Cousine and Fregate are served by chartered helicopter.

Most inter-island flights are operated by small aircraft, often with around 20 seats. Luggage space is restricted, and the baggage allowance is restricted to 10kgs or 15kgs per person on some flights. Excess baggage may, however, be left at the main airport on Mahé. We therefore recommend you travel light, particularly to the smaller outlying islands. Timetables can also vary due to weather conditions. Last, but not least, it may also be necessary to spend the first and/or last night of your holiday on Mahé to allow for international flight connections.
