"A Unique Private Island Experience"

Lying east of Mahe in the Seychelles Islands, Frégate Island Private is accessible in two hours by boat or 20 minutes by helicopter.

The 16 exclusive and luxuriously appointed villas are located adjacent to a small, idyllic bay known as Anse Bambou with its snow white coral sand. To the southwest of the island lies another sand beach protected by coral reef, which is ideal for snorkeling and diving. To the west of the villa complex lies one of the most beautiful beaches in the Seychelles, Anse Victoria which features a large round granite reef and powdery sand. North of Frégate is an area known as the Chimney Rocks which is popular with divers as it features a magnificent rock bank surrounded by coral reefs and is famed among professional divers throughout the world for its beauty and spectacular underwater wildlife.

Each of theses exclusive and luxuriously villas are located adjacent a small, idyllic bay known as Anse Bambou with its snow white coral sand. Each villa has a living room, spacious bedroom and two bathrooms, are air conditioned, and fitted with satellite television, video and stereo players, integrated CD player, telephone, fax modem (on request), and mini bar. Hand-carved timbers, Thai silk, and Egyptian cotton furnishings create a friendly and gracious atmosphere. Antiques and works of art from Asian countries provide each villa with its own individual character. Integrated glazed walls in various rooms offer fantastic views to the ocean, and the opulent vegetation. Guests enjoy the amenities of an individual sun terrace with sunroof, and private outside day bed and Jacuzzi. There is even a personal buggy for each villa.

Breakfast can be served either in the main restaurant, or on your private verandah, and lunch in the authentic Plantation House or Pirate's Bar. Alternatively a picnic basket can be prepared for your own private beach party.

Themed Creole evenings are held several times a week at the Plantation House, or there is an international gourmet menu in the main restaurant. However, if none of these tempt your palate, there is always room service available in your villa.

Guests can either explore the island in their golf buggy or on foot via numerous comfortably shaded walking paths which lead into the jungle, or along the coast where they can wander to Signal Rock, an imposing granite rock standing 125m. Here guests will encounter a spectacular array of wildlife and fauna, some of which is indigenous to the island; an example of this is the Seychelles-Shama thrush, commonly called the Magpie Robin; which is one of the most famous inhabitants of the island and can only be found on Frégate. In the 19th century, the bird was discovered to be close to extinction, however today approximately 52 species of this glorious singing bird can be heard and seen in the dense woods on Frégate.

Neither words nor picture can ever describe the emotion felt by the visitor seeing Frégate for the first time.
